Fly cutters are primarily used to break up clay-type soils prior to compaction, improving efficiency and hole quality during reaming operations.

SlimDril fly cutters deliver excellent cutting and spoil displacement characteristics and are frequently used in conjunction with, or positioned in front of, barrel reamers to optimise performance in softer ground conditions.
